Digital Transformation

The global pandemic accelerated the need for a complete rethink on how we educate students, but teaching had already been undergoing a digital transformation.

Embracing technological change to improve learning and teaching

From a young age, Angela could clearly see the power of innovation and automation. Growing up on a farm, she saw firsthand how her father performed hard, physical labour each day, right up until old age. Finally, he was forced to decide – retire, or automate. The same can now be said for traditional educational settings.

Students no longer want to sit through one to two-hour lectures listening to someone speak in front of a blackboard. Now that the educational environment has shifted towards digital learning, many lecturers also agree. New and exciting methods of flexible, interactive teaching and study have come into play, and Professor Carbone has been at the forefront of innovation in this space.
